Wendy Murray, D.V.M.
I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. I grew up a city kid who longed to live in the country. Like many little girls I loved horses, and desperately wanted one of my own. Since a horse would not fit in our backyard, I spent many years taking riding lessons and going to summer camps with equine activities so I could be around horses. I also participated in sports, like softball and track . As a kid I was always trying to rescue hurt or abandoned baby birds or cotton tail rabbits we would find in the desert. In school I liked science classes so it just seemed natural to put my love of animals and science together to persue veterinary medicine. I earned a B.S. in Veterinary Science from the University of Arizona. In 1997 I moved to Oklahoma to establish residency. OSU seemed like a logical choice since I had family in Stillwater, and it didn't get too cold in the winter, or so I thought! I got a job as a technician at the Perkins Veterinary Clinic where I really got to see high quality medicine. It was also while working as a tech that I developed a love for working with cattle. In 2003 I earned my D.V.M. from Oklahoma State University. When Dr.Woodall offered me a job, I jumped at the chance to come back to the clinic. My interests in veterinary medicine are large and small animal preventative medicine and internal medicine. My husband, Mike, who begrudgingly left Arizona to help me persue my goals now loves Oklahoma as much as I do. We bought some land, and now have a small herd of cows, two horses, four dogs and four cats and a few chickens. In 2011 we bought the clinic from Dr. Jerry Woodall upon his retirement and continue to practice high quality medicine and are always searching out new techniques to better the lives of animals. When not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors and riding horses.
Taud Charette, D.V.M.
Born in Hammond, IN and moved around quite frequently as a child due to my father's employment in the nuclear industry. I have lived in Indiana, Michigan, Texas and Arkansas. Arkansas is where I met and married the love of my life Briley. We have two wonderful children together, Cheyanne and Taud Jr. Our 4 legged children Roo, Kasper, Tonks, Pandora, and Isis, a bearded dragon named Rosie, 5 whites tree frogs, and a ball python named Monty complete our family. My undergraduate education was at Arkansas Tech University; I earned a B.S. in Biology with a Pre-Veterinary emphasis. In 2004 we moved our family to Stillwater, and I began working at the Perkins Veterinary Clinic as a technician. In 2008, we moved our family to Saint Christopher (St.Kitts) in Leeward islands of the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean where I attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. In January 2011 we returned home to Stillwater and I finished the clinical aspects of my education at Oklahoma State University, Boren Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. I graduated from Ross University in January 2012; upon graduating Dr. Murray offered me a job here at Perkins Veterinary Clinic. I was very happy to accept this position because I knew already that they practiced high quality medicine, and I knew that the doctors here would offer the mentorship to help make me a well rounded veterinarian. I am very proud of serving the area and working with our wonderful clientele. My professional interests are primarily surgery, but I also enjoy Cardiology, Oncology, and Exotic medicine.
